Dear Star Kids Parents and Students,

We are sharing links to community resources that you may find helpful as you navigate these challenging times. If you do not have the tools at home, such as a laptop, chromebook, internet service, or school supplies, for your child  to connect with school and do their school work, please be in touch with us asap.

Your school is a great source of current information.  Be sure to stay informed of your school’s updates by:

  • Checking your email daily for updates from your school
  • Follow your school’s face book page, if able
  • Check your school’s website page

Online Academic Help

Many of your children are venturing into online learning, and therefore so are you!

Here’s a Parent’s Guide to Google Classroom.

If your child’s school is using another online learning platform, search for online assistance to help you understand how it works.

Kahn Academy is a great online learning tool children can use themselves once you have set-up a free account. This can supplement the schoolwork your child is given by your school. Simply set-up your account, enter your child’s grade and follow the online sessions offered; this is especially great for math work!

General Assistance:

United Way has a COVID-19 Community Economic Relief Fund and will help with bills, rent and food. Call 866-211-9966, provide your zip code, and you will be given a list of agencies in your community that will provide assistance.
